2004 New Zealand Pub Quiz Championship

The Horse & Trap in Mt Eden hosted the Vladivar NZ Pub Quiz Championship quiz on Sunday October 17. An excellent turnout of 37 teams representing venues from throughout New Zealand provided for a very exciting championship.

The eventual winners, NFI Bob from Finn McCools Irish Bar in Manukau City, trailed for most of the quiz, but had a great final round, playing their joker in the TV & Cinema to pip Do The Business  from Nelson's Suburban Club by a solitary point. A point further back in third were Eddie M’Bubu from Murphy’s Law Irish Bar in Petone. It is interesting to note that Eddie M’Bubu answered the most questions correctly, but were let down by not playing their jokers in their best rounds!
