Livewire Golf Challenge at The Grange

Monday December 14 dawned fine and clear. A great day had out by all.

A hot sunny slooooow round, but the field of 40 managed to negotiate the tricky greens and hazards of this golf course, a former home of the NZ Open. The well dressed Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee team representing the Jolly Roger in Beachlands managed to clean up most of the prize table, but who can forget Aroha from the Gables Speight's Ale House winning the longest putt with her monster effort on the 9th green! Warren and Riggsy from the Horse & Trap were clearly the two who indulged most in the on-course hospitality, as evidenced by their respective scorecards, although Riggsy did somehow manage to win the longest drive. Naturally though there were a lack of witnesses to this, however he still took away the prize. A fun time for all - details to come of our next event!
